Gwynedd Friends School seeks candidates who are passionate about working with young children in a play-based program. Our teachers help students become confident learners, model peaceful conflict resolution, and promote a sense of belonging in the wider community. An understanding of, and appreciation for, Quakerism and early childhood pedagogy are important to our work as educators at Gwynedd Friends School. We look for creative, organized, patient and nurturing candidates. Lead teachers must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or elementary education and have experience working with young children. Assistant teachers must have at least 2 years of experience working with young children and/or possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or elementary education.

PRESCHOOL ASSISTANT TEACHER

Gwynedd Friends School is seeking a part-time preschool assistant teacher who has a passion for working with young children in a play-based program. Our teachers help students become confident learners, model peaceful conflict resolution, and promote a sense of belonging in the wider community. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, patient, loving, enjoy spending time outdoors, and enjoy working with others. 

Assistant teachers must have at least 1 year of experience working with young children and/or possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or related field. The hours for this position are from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm.

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT STAFF

Gwynedd Friends School is seeking individuals to help with our after school program as teaching assistant who have a passion for working with young children in a play-based program. Our teachers help students become confident learners, model peaceful conflict resolution, and promote a sense of belonging in the wider community.

The ideal candidate will be creative, loving, and  have a comfort with spending blocks of time outside, exploring and playing. The ideal candidate would also have experience working with young children, ages 3-6. The hours for this position are from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. Currently assistance is needed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Enrichment classes begin the week of 9/18/23 and end the week of 5/13/23.
