ASSISTANT TEACHER

Gwynedd Friends School is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher who has a passion for working with young children in a play-based program. We are currently seeking Assistant Teachers for Playgroup (2 years old), PreK and K. Our teachers help students become confident learners, model peaceful conflict resolution, and promote a sense of belonging in the wider community. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, patient, loving, and enjoy working with others, as well as have a comfort with spending blocks of time outside, exploring and playing as an extension to classroom learning.

Assistant teachers must have at least 1 year of experience working with young children and/or possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood, elementary education or related field. These positions range from 3 to 5 days and vary in hours (8:45-12:00 or 8:45-1:00) depending on the position.*

*Opportunity to extend hours through our afternoon programming
