FAST FACTS

• Gwynedd Friends School has been serving young children since 1943.

• Our average student-to-teacher ratio is 6:1.  

• The maximum class size in Play Group is 9, in Preschool is 12, in Pre-Kindergarten is 14, and in Kindergarten is 15.

• Our curriculum is play-based, while offering plenty of opportunity for experiential learning.

• We go outside every day, rain or shine.

• Most of our families live in the Wissahickon or North Penn School Districts, but we also draw from Central Bucks, Methacton, Upper Dublin, and Colonial.

• School year runs from September through May, with summer camp in June & July.

• School hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for playgroup and preschool and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Each class has optional afternoon programming until 2:45 p.m.

• Our program is accredited through Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS).

• The Play Group is licensed by the Department of Human Services (DHS).

• Gwynedd Friends School employs 22 faculty and staff members.
